I get the irony- I was asking someone who's tagline is trusting the wisdom within if I could outsource my power to her and a machine... but I was just having a weak moment.

How crazy that what I had been searching for was right here within me all along, yet it was so hidden that it would take me 7 years to find it. Now I am starting to see that it is also reflected all around me too. What a crazy and beautiful life ✨

The beautiful wells are being remembered as we are remembering. And they have medicine and magic to share with us too.

Reflections on grief & love

I have seen wellness and spiritual practitioners called out for turning a blind eye to the horrific events that are unfolding in the world. and the view that it's impossible to be heart led and true to what you are sharing while also not speaking to this. And so I have been asking myself this question too... and thinking about all the different parts we play in creating a better world

So I can be quite stubborn sometimes.. I am now 47 and since I was 17 I have been battling with something that my psychology teacher told me.  He told me I was dangerously feminine and that I was at risk of a mental breakdown in later life, all because I ticked the wrong boxes in one of those aptitude tests.  I don't like boxes and I don't like being told there is something wrong with me, so I wanted to prove him wrong. 

Nursing is a vocation, you do it for love not for money.... This is what I have heard on repeat for a lot of my life- isn't she admirable, doing a job for love not money, helping others even though she can barely look after herself and her kids, because its a vocation. What a 'good' nurse I was

Thinking about the themes of life death and rebirth at perimenopause, how learning from nature as well as the stories of Goddess's from many different tradition can really support us throughout this transition.

In that moment I felt that presence again, the feeling I associated with Mary Magdelene,  but I realised that it was not anyone else.  It was all the parts of myself that she was reflecting back to me, the parts of myself that I had been hiding because I didn't feel it was safe. Like so many of us have. 

One of the things that I was offered was HRT, because as the doctor said 'many woman experience some sort of awakening at perimenopause and HRT helps' I wondered what she meant by 'helps'

My son suggested to me the other day that I should make a mini course called 'Embracing love'. He said 'mum, you do all these complicated things but that's what you always talk about and it's simple' And I think he had a good point. And I will make that course, but for now I thought I'd write a blog.

As a nurse and an energy healer, I often feel like I am speaking two languages, they don't translate very easily at all. Medicine doesn't have language that explains the spirit because it only goes by what you can prove and see. So in the search to find the right label for something more spiritual maybe we are preventing people from seeking the right support.
