Embracing Love

My son suggested to me the other day that I should make a mini course called 'Embracing love'. He said 'mum, you do all these complicated things but that's what you always talk about and it's simple' And I think he had a good point. And I will make that course, but for now I thought I'd write a blog.

Because it reminded me of my instructions when I had to suddenly go back to work in the hospital. I kept asking, is this part of the plan? are you sure? and what do I need to do? 'Just take love in' was the answer that I heard.

I am an energy healer, so I'm happy working with things that don't seem to make sense to the rational mind, but I am also a nurse, as well as a human and I sometimes get caught up in looking for proof or explanation or needing more detailed instructions. I seemed to find it hard to understand (when I was in my nursing mode) how I could just 'take love in.'

I tried to focus on meditating before work, sitting by a tree or the flowers on my break, filling myself up with love and then trying to hold that while I was working, hoping that it would effect the energy of everyone around me. But it was hard to hold it, around all the stress and the fear, and by the end of the day that's what would start to creep in.

Sometimes I would be giving medications, or going about the normal things that we do in the hospital and I would often hear 'what are you all doing? You're making it way too complicated, the answer is simple, just let the love in, it's all around you!!!'

But how? What do I need to DO?

And I think the point, was there was nothing to do, the problem was more that there is often too much doing! We are 'fighting' disease, 'fixing' bodies and this comes from a place of fear rather than love.

And as always, the answer lies simply in remembering our true nature, returning to love which is what we all are and what connects us all, this love is there within and all around us and all we need to do is let it in! That's how spirit sees it anyway and that's why it seems so simple.

And it is simple really.  But we have become so used to doing everything from a place of fear that it takes a lot of undoing to get there.  All our systems and institutions are caught up in these old patterns, thinking that we are separate from each other and we have to fight against ourselves, each other and nature. To change the whole fundamental belief structure of big systems like these is far from simple.

But we can start from within, that makes it simpler, just returning to love within ourselves and through embodying this we can support others to do the same.

And I don't mean a love that we have for something or someone but the love that is beyond it all which is what we can feel being reflected back to us through people or things.  It is not a conditional love or something we have to search for it is the force which connects us to all that there is.

Maybe even within ourselves there is also still a lot of undoing to do.

Embracing love sounds like a lovely mini course, again it sounds so simple, and ultimately it is, but actually returning to love can be a long journey. Maybe we need to meet all of the patterns and the conditioning and all the armour that has kept us from feeling this love.

But I have also realised that my son is right that this is what I am ultimately always talking about in all that I do.

Both the courses I already teach are simply about opening up to this love that is beneath everything and using this to help heal ourselves others and the earth.

Sometimes I still try to make it sound more complicated than it is.

Shamballa and the Munay Ki both mean love, they may be from different times and cultures but are both ways of simply helping us to remember how to connect to the frequency of universal love that runs beneath it all. And the stories behind both say that they have returned or given to us now because now is the time we really need to remember this! For the healing of ourselves, each other and the earth.

You can learn more about both here or watch this space for my own embracing love course one day!
